Science teachers, educators and administrators are invited to join whether the are able to travel to Boston or not. This discussion area will intoduce you to two research articles, one on inquiry in practice, and another on developing field investigations. We will consider both these practices as we begin to map our district/school journeys towards change in science education. This collaborative effort is intended to be a sustainable instructional model (inquiry-based teaching with technology) that includes two-years of professional development. This effort engages K-12 schools and districts as they endeavor to: ➢ Build a community of learners that includes students, teaching staff, support personnel, school and district administrators. ➢ Consistently use constructivist, inquiry-based instructional strategies in science with applying Universal Design for Learning principles. ➢ Organize and plan technology resources to transform teaching and learning.
